The UAE government has recently initiated a large-scale inspection campaign targeting private homes, companies, and factories to identify and rectify residency and visa violations.
Blog post description.

This campaign, led by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) alongside the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP), focuses on enforcing compliance with the UAE’s entry, residency, and labor laws. The initiative aims to raise awareness on the importance of legal compliance among residents and companies, fostering a safer community and a more robust labor market. Violations being examined include overstaying visas, unregistered labor, and illegal employment following residency expiration.
Authorities are emphasizing that individuals and entities found in breach of these regulations may face substantial fines and additional penalties. To support violators in resolving their status, the UAE has established around 87 "Aamer" centers across Dubai, providing a streamlined pathway for individuals to regularize their residency or exit the country if needed. Additionally, extensive media outreach in multiple languages is being used to inform both local and international communities about legal residency requirements, helping ensure everyone is aware of their obligations and rights in the UAE.
The campaign reflects the UAE’s commitment to uphold lawful immigration and residency standards, ultimately contributing to the nation’s social and economic stability. For further assistance or inquiries, the authorities encourage contacting official centers or accessing resources provided by the MoHRE and ICP.
